Class Descriptions

Gentle Yoga:

This class focuses on basic alignment principles, and developing heightened body awareness.  Build strength and flexibility with a functional approach to yoga. A well-rounded practice to suit all levels.

Deepening into Yoga:

A slower paced class focused on detailed alignment with an emphasis on strength and flexibility thru sustained holds in the postures, and the study of pranayama, breathing techniques, that can promote calmness and focus mentally, physically and energetically.   All levels.

Yoga for Neck and Shoulders:

In this class we explore strengthening and stabilizing exercises for the shoulders and upper arms as well as a variety of releases for the neck and shoulders.

Yoga for Happy Hips:

Deepen your knowledge of the myriad ways we can move our legs and pelvis.  We will work on strengthening and stabilizing the muscles needed for balance and hip health as well as enjoy plenty of stretches and releases.  This is an all levels class.

Yin Yoga:

Yin yoga is a slow-paced passive practice that focuses on nourishing the connective tissue in the joints, and allowing chi or energy to move through the body.  This class will focus on long-held seated and supine postures.


River Street Dance Theater is located at 421 N 2nd Street in Hamilton.


Weekly on-going classes are $12 drop in, or 4 classes for $40 (you do not have to come to 4 classes in a row).
